Aroy-Dee Thai Kitchen offers a casual, no-frills dining experience located on Bencoolen Street in the heart of Singapore. This spot is best suited for anyone craving authentic Thai street food flavors without the fuss of a formal setting. The restaurant’s atmosphere leans heavily into an al fresco, canteen-style vibe, making it ideal for quick lunches, laid-back dinners, or late-night meals when you’re in the mood for something hearty and satisfying.

The menu stands out for its variety and authenticity, featuring classics like Gang Garee Gai (yellow chicken curry), Pad Ka Phrao (basil pork), Som Tum Phoo Pla RA (spicy papaya salad with salted crab), and their take on seafood dishes such as Steam Seabass in Thoi Sauce and Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab. The food tends to be flavourful and robust, occasionally oily, which matches the street food inspiration customers appreciate. The spice levels are manageable and can be adjusted to your liking, making it accessible even if you’re not accustomed to intense heat.

Locals and office workers nearby often drop by for a quick and satisfying meal. It’s a convenient spot for group lunches or casual gatherings, as it won’t break the bank and offers generous portions. The alfresco seating gives a relaxed, open-air feel even though the street can get warm, and the quieter interior space is a good option to escape the midday heat.

The restaurant stays open late enough to accommodate late-night cravings, a plus for those who want Thai food beyond the usual dinner hours. Service is known to be efficient and friendly, contributing to a welcoming but unpretentious vibe. Beverage options include traditional iced Thai milk green tea and a basic selection of wines and beers, although some find the beer prices a bit steep for casual drinking.

Overall, Aroy-Dee Thai Kitchen suits those who want to enjoy genuine Thai dishes in a warm, informal setting that recalls street stalls but with the comfort of a dedicated dining space. It’s a practical choice for groups, solo diners, and anyone exploring Bencoolen Street’s lively food scene without needing a polished dining experience.

I loved the foods and staff very friendly and accomodating. We are always eating here. So delicious, I'm always craving to their tom yum and salted egg prawn. My favorite

Contact- group lunch with colleagues. We tried beef soup with noodles, phad Thai, fried pork rice, tom yum noodles. General consensus was that its quite good value and quality. Quite authentic and spice levels were ok. Its nothing fancy. Quite warm outside but quiet inside. We would be back again for quick bites, not beer though, $15 pint for Thai beer is too steep for me.

Thai street food served in restaurant-cum-street style. Oily & messy but packed with Flavour! Just what we wanted late Friday night. Loved it. Efficient service too. Will return to try more of their menu. Bonus - Opens till late.

Tasty, authentic Thai food at affordable prices with late-night dining. Been eating here for past 8 years! The setting is very casual, al fresco style -- so skip if you’re after a posh ambiance.

Tasty and Affordable Ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and Prawn Pad Thai. The pineapple rice was hearty with a good amount of shrimp and pineapple — a nice, well-balanced flavor. The Pad Thai was slightly on the sweet side for my taste, but it improved a lot with a squeeze of lime. All in all, a solid 4 stars — great vibe, outdoor seating, and excellent prices. Perfect for a casual Thai meal in a relaxed setting. ????????

This is thoroughbred Thai through and through. We feasted through what I thought was food cooked with heart and soul. Well done to the team at Aroy-Dee for this experience. Been years since I visited. And the best testament we could give to you is returning for a next time. Till then, keep up the great work!
